* Sodas Keep Child Obesity Soaring *

WEDNESDAY, May 11 (HealthDay News) -- The ballooning weight of American
youth may be driven, at least in part, by the sugary fizz of soda pop.

A new review of data and expert opinion suggests soft drink consumption
greatly increases the risk of childhood obesity, according to researchers
reporting in the May issue of the Journal of Pediatrics.

* Milk May Help Keep Diabetes Away: Study: 2 to 3 Cups of Low-Fat Dairy
Lowers Diabetes Risk by 20% *

May 10, 2005 --There is mounting evidence that milk can lower your risk of
developing type 2 diabetes.

Men who drank 2 to 3 cups of low-fat or nonfat milk a day were found to be
20% less likely to develop type 2 diabetes in a study by researchers from
Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard School of Public Health in
Boston.
